Hi, I am Charles Buckley

I grew up in Malibu, CA. I graduated from Brooks Institute with a degree in Industrial Photography. There I spent countless hours in darkrooms and studios along with late nights in blacked-out rooms controlling light, trying to bend it to my will. I have the privilege of starting at the beginning of the digital revolution without forsaking its roots.

In 2012 I left the beaches, mountains, and abundant sunshine to settle in Southeast Iowa - the land of cornfields, open skies, and close-knit community. I am married to Katie and we have four young children.

I love technology, mechanics, physics, and fixing things. This heavily influences work as I understand and am able to manipulate the technical aspects of photography. I am an extrovert. My favorite part of my photography business is the time I get to spend interacting with my clients from behind the camera.
